Mike stays busy. As in, all the time. When he is playing locally in SOLO SHOWS, you might catch him at some of the great small local venues in and around the Jupiter to Lauderdale stretch in South Florida. If you're looking for a full band experience, you might catch him playing with some of his longtime musician friends in the group ROSARIO CRAIG BAND, doing duo shows with SHAUN ROSARIO, or with Jerry Leeman in BIG MEDICINE. But that is not all Mike does, or wants to do. He has great interest in all things musical and chances are if there is a top notch band playing in the area (and he has the night off), you'll see him somewhere near the back stage chatting with members of the group, or near the front stage watching hands, listening to chops and riffs.
"I learn best by watching and listening to others. There is no substitute for seeing and hearing it done live, right in front of you. The radio, albums, CDs, and digital music is great for hanging around the house and sort of 'living in the music' that you love. But live music is what drives me." more

Changes on the horizon and new venues.

Mike is currently performing with SHAUN ROSARIO and his group, ROSARIO CRAIG BAND, as well as occasional shows with other musicians and groups in the South Florida ring. You can catch a full schedule of show dates BY CLICKING HERE.

Performing with SHAUN ROSARIO and his group, ROSARIO CRAIG BAND this year has been nothing less than a joy.

Mike feels pumped about continuing his tradition of giving it all, and leaving everything on the stage, and having musicians like these to work with is always a blessing.

Big Medizen performs DARK SIDE OF THE MOON.

Yet another successful showcase show evening but scaled back and with a more contemporary, pensive feel much like Pink Floyd itself - this series of shows was also an event to remember and an attendance breaker at Terra Fermata. So much enthusiasm was derived from all of the Pink Floyd tribute shows happening at the time that the public outcry demanded that we step up to the plate and do what comes naturally. Dark Side of the Moon was performed in its entirety as well as other selections from Pink Floyd including Another Brick In The Wall and Mother.

Big Medizen performs THE LAST WALTZ

The attendance was over capacity at Boston's on The Beach in beautiful Delray. The costumes, music, and artists were plentiful. Truly some of the most recognized rock performers in history star-studded the stage for the original show, and with Jerry Leeman and Mike Hill, as well as many other local artists including Kristin Cappiello, Tess and Richie Schmidt of the Fabulous Fleetwoods, Motel Mel Seba, Rich Friedman and Pete Lavezolli of Crazy Fingers, and many others - this was truly a night to be remembered."

This year, Mike began playing with the local band BIG MEDICINE, a full sized group whose numbers and lineup changes often, to suit the mood of the venue and its listeners.

"This band is a great canvas for all the guitar work that me and [Pete Weintraub] do together, and there are very few guitar players that I have played with over the years who I have the same chemistry on stage that happens with me and Pete. You just have to hear it for yourself."
Big Medicine performs at many of the major festivals in the South Florida trek, as well as great beachside venues such as Packy's and Boston's on the Beach. Their frontman, Jerry Leeman, and Mike are a good match for live performance and have also performed in several duos and trios together in the Palm Beach area.
